RAGGEDY ANNIE'S GRANNY: September 2016

DAY FOUR .. Monday, September 26 How about starting out with Pancakes at the Pancake Haus in Moab, Utah .. 9:37 AM. There's not a lot of excitement on this day .. mostly miles and miles of driving BUT if you're real patient you will eventually get to see pics of the Novak's climbing up and up and up to see a natural bridge .. and then the climb back down .. a 1 mile hike up and a 1 mile hike down .. sure seemed a lot further than that .. LOL!!!

How neat to live in a small town surrounded by mountains!!!

We are now in the Colorado River area .. 9:44

Scenery is not much different .. LOL!!!

We made into town .. 11:20 ..

Oh yeah .. had to check it out!!! Bathroom's are inside this natural stone "cave" ..

Don't give up yet .. this is where we do the climbing to see the natural bridge ..

We are doing the climb up to see the Hickman Bridge and back down!!!

Keep in mind the Novak's are climbing .. LOL!!!

Yep .. we're gonna' climb up there too!!!

People make these stacks just for fun .. the rock on the top on the right is mine!!!

Here it is just a little closer up .. LOL!!!

We made it .. we are in the arch of the natural bridge .. we will go through and out the other side and start our venture down ... 1:50!!! We started this climb at 12:59 according to the camera .. so it took us 51 minutes to make the 1 mile climb to the bridge!!!

This is a natural bridge that formed between the two mountains!!!

And now we start back DOWN!!!!

I tried to tell Ken I could carry my own sweatshirt but he's such a gentleman he wouldn't let me!!!

End of the trail .. 3:02 .. I think there must be more somewhere .. If this is indeed the end of our trail to and from the natural arch then our trip back down the trail too .. Hmmmm .. somewhere around 50 minutes also .. LOL!!!

I have used the cameras on both of our Iphones so much today the phones are badly in need of being charged so the pics below were taken with my digital camera .. sad to say I guess I had it on the wrong setting because the pictures all have a blue cast .. however, you will get an idea of the beauty that continues through our day!!!
