CHRISTMAS DAY 2011

Christmas 2011 .. started at Mike and Madonna's house on Christmas Day

Madonna always gets a LIVE tree .. they did a great job of picking this one out .. it was beautiful even before it got decorated!!

Hmmm .. it looks like I missed getting a picture of the food .. but believe me .. there was plenty of food!!  Turkey, Ham, Noodles, Mashed Potatoes, Cheesy Vegetables, Baked Beans, Hot Rolls .. Yummmmm!! 

And there were plenty of desserts too .. of course I got a picture of those .. LOL!

There was even food for the birds!  Madonna has started taking care of all the birds in Hematite!! 

I just had to get at least one picture of the Christmas mess!! 

I had been waiting for this moment for a couple of weeks!!  My gift to Wanda was a small bright red gift bag with tissue paper and a hand full of popcorn kernels!!  She's looking at me wondering what in the world is this about????  I told her the rest of her gift was in Mike and Madonna's bathtub .. Mike wouldn't let me put it under the tree.  Her response was "it better not be a cat"!!!  I told her it wasn't a cat it was a kitten .. LOL!!  We made her wait until all the gifts were unwrapped before I finally took her to the bathroom for the "rest of her gift" and she was almost afraid to pull back the shower curtain to see what was back there .. just kept saying "you better not have given me a cat" .. LOL!! 

Was she ever surprised when she saw this life size Rooster in the tub .. LOL!!  Wanda has Chickens all over her kitchen and I just knew she would love this one!   Every time I saw that Rooster sitting in the corner of my kitchen waiting for this day I chuckled!!!  I think she does love it, don't you??????

Whoops .. I almost forgot to post a picture of Mike and Madonna's outside decorations!! 

Isn't that beautiful????  It's actually the house that won the prize for most beautiful decorations in the area from the Leader paper.  It is located in the subdivision my friends Ron and Mary's houses are in .. in fact it's just right down the street from their houses!!  At the time I got the pics of it I didn't even realize it had been the big prize winner!!  It certainly deserved the prize.  The back of it was even completely covered with lights .. and the swing set sitting in the back yard!!!
