WEDNESDAY .. February 18, Day Two of our latest adventure!! We were up and going at 7:35 am Missouri time. They are an hour ahead of us so it was actually a late start going by South Carolina time!! Continental Breakfast. Couldn't get hooked up to the internet this morning either .. Bah Humbug!!! Skies are clear .. sun is out. No snow .. no ice .. we'll see what the day holds!!! And we're off to Myrtle Beach .. about 4 hours away!!!!!
Notice the ice on the trees .. but the roads are clear!!!
Stopped for gas in Newberry, Tennessee. Sign said 1.99 a gallon and Ken was thrilled but alack and alas the pump charged him 2.05 .. still not bad!!! Little did we know it was going to get a whole lot higher before our adventure was over .. LOL!!!
Even though we had a bit of Breakfast at the hotel we stopped at McDonalds for a Sausage and Egg McMuffin and Coffee and a bit of time on their WIFI!!!
Getting closer ..
Ken has been laughing at my "organization" skills ..
The glove compartment is now my "office" .. my IPAD slides right in .. room under the IPAD on the left side for my cell phone .. and a nice little pocket on the right side to slide my camera in!!! He finds this hilarious .. LOL!!
Finally found a great spot for the GPS too .. fits quite nicely between the dashboard and the gear shift. We can see it better and hear it better!!!
This giant colorful Crab is just before downtown Myrtle Beach ..
The Caravelle Resort .. our home away from home for now!!
After you have registered in the building across the street you drive through the doorway to the left of those Palm Trees into the covered garage .. we are on the 5th floor .. circling round and round and round to get to our garage level but how nice to have a covered garage!!!
We got all settled in at the Caravelle and Ken called Jerry and Edna's room .. and the fun started!!! We met Jerry and Edna at their place where we met their daughter Jennifer and granddaughter Sienna and visted a while then headed to River City BBQ for Supper. George and Vivian met us there. Ken and I both got the
It may be COLD but the view is still beautiful!!!
Needless to say .. these pictures of the ocean were taken BEFORE we went off with our friends for the evening .. we didn't get back to the hotel until almost midnight!!!! These people are NIGHT OWLS!!!
