Oh My .. we were slug-a-beds this morning!!! Didn't roll out until about 8:00 .. of course that's only 7:00 Missouri time so actually not so late for our Missouri trained systems .. LOL!!! IF there was a beautiful sunrise we missed it!!!
Notice the white van in the pic above and what looks like debris behind it? This is the road beside our hotel that runs to the St. Clements hotel where we were originally booked to stay .. this road also is between our hotel and the Caravelle Resort where we stayed the last 2 times we were here .. below are a couple of pics of what is happening outside our balcony window .. and in fact this is happening at several different hotels along the beach!! The damage was done when Hurricane Matthew hit Myrtle Beach in October of 2016!!!
If you are interested in seeing the area as Hurricane Matthew was reaking havoc click on the link below!!! The fifth is to me actually the best one really showing how bad it was!!! I would not want to have been here ... very scarey!!!
No walking on the beach this morning .. it was much
too windy and cold!!! So off we went to
find Hudson’s
Flea Market to do a bit of “treasure hunting”!!! BUT FIRST .. Ken pulled into the Krispy Kreme parking lot!!! I have been whining for a Krispy Kreme ever since we got here .. and here we are at last!!! A dream come true .. a nice fresh Krispy Kreme and a hot cup of Coffee .. Yuuuummmmm!!!
Look at all those choices ...
These are mighty cute .. I just had to get a pic ..
but I chose a Chocolate Hazelnut cream filled one with white chocolate and chopped Nuts swirled on top .. the cream inside was actually Hazelnut!!!
Now .. off to find Hudson's Flea Market ..
Look what we found .. Panera Bread Company .. just had to post a pic in honor of the Bread Company Bunch .. LOL!!!
If you could read that bright blue sign on the left you would know .. we have found Hudson's Flea Market!!!
There are several rows of buildings .. mostly metal pole-barn type buildings and verrrryyyyy COLD!!!
I guess you could call this the most unique booth in the whole place .. stack after stack of books .. Ken was looking for J D Robb or James Patterson books he hadn't already read .. no luck!! Probably just as well .. I could just see him toppling about a thousand books over if he found one he wanted ... LOL!!!
Ken did actually find a book he wanted .. but it wasn't in these stacks .. it was in a different vendor's spot .. LOL!!! We found a few things we needed for the kitchen but no "treasures" to get excited over .. we didn't make it through all the buildings, it was just toooo cold!!!
Liz, You look so happy with that delicious Krispie Kreme . It sounded delicious ! Good pic of Ken in the books. --Glad you are having a great time. I sure hope you get warmer temps so you can enjoy a walk along the beach and the ocean. Have Fun ! The sky, ocean and palm trees looks so pretty !
