We didn't make our trip to Myrtle Beach at the beginning of February this year .. we had several things going on in the beginning couple weeks of February and decided to go later in the month for just a few days to visit with our friends Jerry & Edna and George & Vivianne. February 18th was the first day of this year's big adventure!!!! Madonna, bless her heart, had made some of her delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies to send with us for Jerry and Edna to thank them for smashing a penny for her from West Point and of course we got some too!!! Yuuuummmmmmm!!! She got up bright and early and made the Cookies and brought them over before we left!!!
Looks like I should have lightened this picture before I posted it .. LOL!!! Maybe I'll work on it later!!! Madonna snapped it just before she left .. we had the car packed and were ready to go!!!

Madonna had mentioned that we were leaving at a great time because the sun rise was going to be beautiful .. she was right!!!

6:49 PM .. We were all settled into our room at the Quality Inn in Newport, TN and time to head out for some sustenance!!! Cracker Barrel of course .. and there's our Clabber Girl sign!!!!

The Crabby Mike's sign is for my son-in-law Mike and our good friend Mike .. LOL!!!! I couldn't resist it!!!
We arrived at Myrtle Beach about 3:00 PM. I missed the Myrtle Beach sign of course!!! And didn't have brains enough to get a picture of "Sea Mark" .. the condo our friends stay in!!!! Jerry and Edna had invited us to stay with them while we were there .. they had no other guests coming and have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, full kitchen, washer and dryer .. lots of room!!! It was so nice of them to invite us .. Thanks guys!!!
The Sea Mark is one of the resort hotels the Caravelle is in charge of and people there attend the festivities at the Caravelle and it just happened that this was the evening for "Cocktail Hour" .. so at about 6:00 we headed for the Caravelle for Mexican food and drinks .. my drink was a Soda .. LOL!!!! If you look about halfway down the table you'll see Ken's head and see Jerry across the table .. LOL!! We went to George and Viviann's place and played cards and gobbled goodies afterwards!!

We decided we had to take a walk on the beach in spite of the fog!!!
Whoops .. Edna and I almost got our feet wet .. LOL LOL LOL!!!!
After our walk on the beach we loaded into Jerry's car and headed for his favorite Rock Shop ..
haven't seen bright flowers in bloom for a while .. just had to get a picture!!!
And look what we found in the Rock Shop ... a penny smashing machine!!!
After doing some driving around town we went back to the hotel to get a bit of rest before heading to the Caravelle for the evenings carry-in pot luck dinner!!!
After the delicious carry-in meal we move to another area of the room for Karaoke!!!
As you can see George is singing with one of the Karaoke songs ... he sang with a few of them. Some of us sang but definitely not with the microphone .. LOL!!!
Karaoke is always a lot of fun!!! After Karaoke we went to George and Vivianne's place to play cards .. always a lot of laughs .. no matter who wins or loses!!!!

We decided this might be a great day to go see a movie!!! But first .. to Friendly's for Breakfast!!!
We went to the Grand 14 Theater to see "The Greatest Showman" .. it was a very good movie !!!! Chuckling .. the guys aren't looking very enthusiastic about this .. they're just dragging along!!! They had wanted to see "Hostiles" .. a western movie but we had checked all the theaters and none were showing it yet!!!
After the movie we headed for one of our favorite places .. "Books A Million" and "Yogurt Mountain" for frozen Yogurt Ice Cream .. Yuuuummmmm!!! And then back to the Sea Mark for a brief rest.
I love listening to and seeing the waves roll in .. for some reason it relaxes me and any stress I may be feeling disappears leaving me feel at peace and that all is right with the world!!! We were meeting Viviann, George and Alex at the Riverside Café" for dinner on our last night and Ken and I decided to walk down the beach to get there .. just a little more of the ocean before leaving the area!!!

After dinner at "Riverside" we headed for the Caravelle to play Bingo!!!! Everybody who plays brings a $5.00 prize to add to the prize pile. Our bunch didn't do too well .. Jerry won a game early in the evening .. a box of Crackers and a dish towel!!! None of the rest of us had any luck!!!
Yep .. we played cards at George and Viviann's again afterwards .. LOL!!!
As you can see Ken and I were up and out very early on our last morning at Myrtle Beach .. we had everything carried out to the car the night before and were verrrrryyyy quiet so we wouldn't wake Jerry and Edna up!!!
First stop .. Krispy Kremes and Coffee before we even got out of town .. LOL!!!
Oh My .. Fog once again!!!

Finally .. out of the fog and out of the traffic jam .. however, not much to see yet except trees ..

Fun Town and Old Town .. 2 of the places we had come to see were practically across the street from us and Tim and family were just a few doors away in their room!!! We took a quick walk down the way to check out Fun Town and Old Town ..
Summer and Captain Morgan ..
Summer, Cheyenne and Captain Morgan .. Cheyenne is a much-loved friend of Sydni and Summer's and the whole family actually!!! She is like another member of the family!!!!
Of course we had to stop in at Sweet Dreams Ice Cream Café for a sweet treat!!!!
Believe it or not my sons, Tim and Billy, actually went to this big Woodstock Event many years ago!!!! Tim told me he was sure Billy would love this shirt .. I figured since both boys went that Tim might just love to have one of these shirts too .. so I bought 2 of them .. LOL!!!!
It's after 10:00 . time to get back to the "Seralago" and get some sleep .. it's going to be an exciting and fun day tomorrow .. with lots to see and do!!! Fun Town and Old Town are very lively and bright and a fun place to go .. but the best is yet to come .. when we spend the day at "Magic Kingdom"!!!!!
