ARIZONA ADVENTURE DAY TWO!!!

Day Two of this adventure was Saturday, September 24.  We got a fairly early start .. we rolled out of bed about 7:30 .. and had a quick Waffle in the Breakfast Room of the hotel and we were off and on the road again!!!  We left the hotel about 8:31!!  This was a big picture hanging in the lobby of the hotel .. I thought it was neat so here you go ..

I think most of you know Kansas is a very dry state and not a lot of green to look at as you are driving through but I did my best to find interesting pictures to take!!!

Temp is down to 59 degrees .. we should have worn jeans!!!  I wore a zippered weatshirt but didn't think we would need jeans!!!

This was behind the Welcome Center .. it's a Historical Museum .. sad to say it closes at 4:00 and we were too late to go through!!!

11:43 AM .. Time for a bite to eat .. AH .. there's an Arby's ..

Notice the sign on the left .. Arby's now has Pumpkin Cinnamon Shakes .. Yuuuummmmm!!!!  I was sooooo tempted to get one .. but I was good and stuck with just a Roast Beef Slider and Senior Dr. Pepper.  But I sure wanted one of those shake!!! 

Notice those white things with a hole ion the middle trimmed in red????  Know what they are????  Those are parking spots for electric cars .. YIKES!!!!!

Notice the white house waaaayyyy up there  by itself on the side of the mountain!!!  Looks like just a gravel road going up to it!!  I just don't understand why someone would want to live waaayyy up there and have that gravel road when there is snow!!!  Evergreen .. 2:57 ..

This was a lonnnnggggg tunnel .. the longest tunnel I have ever been in .. Ken said he has never been in a tunnel this long either!!!

 Out of the tunnel at last .. WHEW!!!  Seemed like a very long time in there but the camera shows it was 4:15 when we came out of the tunnel so only 3 minutes!!!!  We are now in Dillon!!!

Ken's daughter Elizabeth has an area in her yard that she has filled with rocks and sea shells that she has collected from various places and when she called to wish us a safe trip she also asked us to pick up some special rocks for her rock garden!!!  This would certainly be a wonderful one but just a tad bit too big I think .. LOL!!!

Come on Ken .. you can do it .. LOL LOL LOL!!

Look very closely at the picture above and the picture below .. see the 3 white spots?????  There are 3 deer in the pictures and the white spots are their tails up in the air!!!  WOW .. AWESOME!!!  Can you find them?????
