Day two of Kathy's visit was a very busy day .. I hope you're ready for a whoooolllllleee lot of pics!!!! Our first stop on this adventure-filled day was the Anheuser Busch Brewery ...
There's the St. Louis 250 years birthday cake .. there are 250 of these scattered all around St. Louis .. you will see several of them as I take you though the days of Kathy's visit!!!
You go in this building to get a voucher to join the tour group and it also entitles you to a free Beer in the Biergarten at the end of the tour!! There is no charge for the tour!!
The tour is on as we cross the campus to go to another building. Look at the pipes on the buildings .. the Beer runs through these pipes to the various buildings until it eventually reaches the bottling plant!!!
You're going to find it hard to believe these next pictures are of the stables where the Clydesdales are housed!!!
A stable with a huge chandelier???? OH MY!!
I have to tell you .. it didn't look like any stable I had ever seen .. but it sure smelled liked one!!!

Time for a sample of the Budweiser and a lesson on brewing Beer!!

And into the Beechwood Aging Cellars ..
Outside again and headed for the bottling plant ..
We really couldn't see a lot in the bottling plant .. I had thought we would see the bottles coming down the line and Beer going into them and the caps being placed but everything is done inside machines now and behind a glass wall .. however it was still very interesting!!!
And we did see the bottles of Beer going through the labeling machine!!
It was a long walk from the bottling building back to the Biergarten at the end of our tour .. we were happy to discover that we got to ride the trolley back!!! Kathy had never ridden on a trolley so she was REALLY happy!!!
And we're back at the Visitors' Center and will soon go to the Biergarten and get our free drink ..

A very nice stranger came along and offered to take a pic of all three of us with the cake .. of course we said YES and THANK YOU!!!
Ken's father worked at the brewery for 51 years and many of his other relatives put in many years there also!!!
And now it's time for lunch .. Pappy's BBQ .. one of the most popular BBQ spots in St. Louis!!!
In the picture below I was actually outside taking a picture of the window we were passing .. but it looks like someone was inside taking a picture of Kathy and I walking by .. LOL!!!
The Ribs are actually cooked outside in this huge charcoal grill contraption and carried inside on huge trays ..
There is always a crowd at Pappy's!!
BUT WAIT .. the day's adventures aren't finished yet .. next stop ..

It was a beautiful day and we had a great time showing Kathy some of the delightful sights around the St. Louis area!!! But we all were more than ready to sit back and put our feet up and RELAX when we got back to Raintree Plantation!!!
