John was the Square Dance caller when we were taking Square Dance lessons AND he works at Sapaugh where we bought our car!!! Turns out he was delivering a car to a place in Oklahoma for Sapaugh and just happened to stop at the same place we did!!!
Oh Yes .. of course we couldn't walk out of there without a couple of Krispy Kremes ..

Hmmmmm .. Kenny's not looking as happy as me!! But he should be happy!!! He has hated my ladder back cane bottom chairs that sit around our table in the breakfast area ever since he's known me .. and we have been looking for just the right chair to replace them .. and finally I found some chairs I think I can be happy with!!! He actually was very happy about the chairs .. I think the look on his face is because I'm flopping that selfie stick around like a maniac trying to both of us AND the chairs in the picture .. LOL!!!

I know it's blurry but guess where it is .. Bradley Street stoplight in Festus .. this is where we turn right to go home .. 7:56! Let me see .. we left our hotel at about 8:30 AM .. it's now 7:56 PM .. so it took us about 11 1/2 hours to get from Oklahoma City to Festus!!!
There it is .. the garage door is going up .. we will soon be inside our very own home .. and able to sleep in our very own bed .. how wonderful is that!!!
11 days of driving out on the highways for this huge adventure and every one of those days / nights we traveled safely .. and we made it safely home to Sawyers Ridge .. Thank You Lord for watching over us through this awesome adventure and getting us through each days travels safely and back to our wonderful home at Sawyers Ridge safely!!!
I can't close this story of our awesome adventure without showing you the pictures that Jeremiah gave us to bring home with us ..they now reside on our refrigerator door where they will stay for a long long time!!! Memories of two adorable little boys in Arizona .. Jeremiah and Caleb!!!
Hi Liz and Ken !! Great pics and Glad you had a safe trip home ! Isn't that funny that you ran into the man that worked where you got your car and also taught you square dancing -in Oklahoma !! It reminds me of the time that you saw the girl at Branson that worked with us . - I did not know the icecream cone and ice tea was introduced at the State Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. That is interesting ! The Krispie Kreme donuts looked delicious ! Those are cute pics made by Ken's Grandson's.Joplin, Missouri was where they had that terrible tornado awhile back --- You drove a lot of miles,but you had an interesting Journey that is for sure ! Now, Time to Rest up ! --I think you should go to see "Maxine" at Branson. That would be so funny !
ReplyDeleteWe were totally shocked when we saw John at that station .. he was pretty surprised too .. LOL!!! Yes .. a very awesome adventure but very tiring for 2 old folk like us .. I told Ken I needed a month to rest up!!!!
