DAY TWENTY THREE .. LAST NIGHT'S LUAU FUN!!!!

Every year the Caravelle throws a Luau party for the "snow birds" who will be leaving at the end of February .. last night was the big night!!!  First stop as you get inside is a photo shoot of each couple ..

I was happy to see we had a good sized crowd for this get-together .. but don't know the names of all the people in this pic .. the 2 ladies looking right at you are Nancy and Kathy ... 

We were all supposed to be MUM about the fact that Jerry's birthday is Thursday .. but guess what .. Patsie heard about it from somebody!!!  Either that or she just remembered it because his birthday is the day before hers!!!  Patsie is the Event Coordinator!!!

And since we had a Birthday boy at our table we got to go through the buffet first .. Yaaaayyyyy!!!!

 

As a part of the program 4 candles were lit in memory of 4 "Snow Birds" who have passed away and will no longer be joining the group.  

Bruce, Carol, Jody and Grant .. they all help with the events .. and were a big part of the preparation and decorating for this event!!! 

I think you know this group .. LOL!!!

 I didn't get a pic of the Buffet and Salad Bar but I did get a pic of the Dessert table .. the Cake and the fancy Dessert in a glass were both delicious!!!

 

Our table did great on the drawing for door prizes .. Funny .. Patsie had Alex draw the first ticket out of the basket .. as he was getting ready to draw I said "draw mine" ... Lo and Behold .. he did .. LOL!!!!  What a surprise !!!  Eventually Alex, George, Vivian and Jerry also won prizes!!!!  Good thing they had 12 bags to give away so others got a chance to win too .. LOL!!!

I think he enjoyed it .. LOL!!! 

AH OH .. time to do the Limbo and Patsie talked Jerry into being the first one to try it ... I think he didn't know they'd be doing this to him .. LOL!!!

What a great time we had .. a delicious Dinner Buffet  .. Pork Loin .. Rice w Pineapple .. Collard Greens .. Chicken Kabobs .. Asparagus .. Hot Rolls w Honey Butter .. Salad Bar  .. and Pound Cake in Pudding in a fancy glass .. not sure what that was called .. and a delicious Cake.. and the most important part .. lots and lots of fun and laughs with a great group of people!!!!

And this is what the 12 door prize bags were full of .. treats to enjoy on your trip back home!!!!  A big Thank You to Patsy and to the Caravelle Resort for our going away party!!!


 After getting yesterday's Luau story posted we went to Lunch at the K & W Cafeteria for lunch and then to the Sea Mark to play Dominoes on their balcony!!!!

 And then back to our place for .. a walk on the beach .. it was too beautiful a day not to!!!!

Just as we got onto the beach we heard a big Military Trasnport plane came flying over .. by the time I got my camera in gear it was almost gone but if you look real hard you can find it in between the very tall tower of Caravelle Resort Hotel and the darker hotel to the left of it!!!

There were a lot of frothy bubbles on the water rolling in and on the beach .. hadn't seen this before and don't know what causes it .. but there it is .. 

A Sea Gull reunion .. 

This gentleman's lady is up at the top of the sand feeding the Sea Gulls .. they are all around her .. 

After the feeding is done they go walking off hand in hand down the beach with the Sea Gulls following after ..
