A PIRATES VOYAGE!!!

Good Morning .. are you ready to take a Pirates Voyage?????

There  are all kinds of gift shops to check out when you get into the building .. even a bar or two .. but we skipped those and went directly to the "pre-show"  and watched what was left of it while waiting for time for the Main Show ..

As you can tell by the pics we were up in one of the balcony seats looking down at the show going on downstairs!!!

This guy is balancing on a board on top of 2 barrels with a roller thing in between the 2 barrels!!!

There was also a juggler .. and a guy swining things on a rope and a girl with a Sea Lion .. I got engrossed in looking around and didn't take pics!!

6:00 .. Time to leave the top level and go below board for the Main Show ..

Excitement also builds with another new acrobatic act, in which the crews climb, slide down and pose on the ships’ masts. Their skill and bravery will keep you on the edge of your seat. The adventure comes to a bold finish, complete with nets full of treasure, gold coins, fountains of water and thrilling pyrotechnics.

Eventually  our pirate server Ryan will come by and fill our glasses with whatever we want to drink .. then later he will fill our soup cup with Creamy Vegetable  Soup and a delicious Garlic Cheese Biscuit  .. Pirates drink their Soup so we had no spoons to eat it with .. LOL!! 

Our 1/2 Chicken was the first to be put on the plate after the Soup and Biscuit were finished ..

 Bit by bit we were served with   the Chicken, Pulled Pork (there was BBQ Sauce on the trough type table), 1/2 Baked Potato and last but not least Corn on the Cob.   It was all very good but the only utensil you are given is a fork ..for the Pirates as you know ate with their fingers ..  at least they do give you a fork .. LOL!!  Dessert was a large Apple Turnover  which we bagged up and brought home with us!!!

The show was still going on as we ate so it was a little dark .. and their was a whole lot of activity going on!!!

 These little girls had volunteered to be "swabbies" ..

Their was a point in the "battle" when the top of the water was on fire .. don't know how they do it but it burnt hotly for a short while then suddenly started disappearing and no fire!!! 

The show is all about a battle between The Crimson's and The Sapphires .. the people on our side of the port were The Sapphires .. the people on the other side The Crimsons!!! 

The girl that was climbing up is waaaaaaayyyy up there spinning around ..

The show is over .. time to climb our way to the top and follow the crowd out .. BUT WAIT .. look at what Ken found .. A PENNY SMASHER!!!!!!!  The crowd was still pushing through but we stopped for the penny anyway .. the photographer could not step back enough paces to get a good shot .. LOL!!!  But the little girl and her Father were waiting their turn to get a smashed penny .. she does look a little bit like my smashed penny collecting daughter  looked when she was that age!!!!

We weren't allowed to take videos or use flash photography on threats of all kinds of retribution .. like having to walk the plank if they caught you .. but somebody evidently video taped it and got away with it for a while because I found a pretty good video on You Tube .. click on the link below to see just a part of what we saw!!!
