ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY BEGINS!!!

5:10 AM .. that's 4:10 AM OUR time .. but I'm trying not to think of that .. and I am up sipping Coffee and looking out the sliders!!!  We got "home" quite late last night from our card party and this lady was too pooped and bleary eyed to post pictures from yesterdays' fun .. guess I just couldn't wait to get up and get going on that this morning .. LOL!!! 

As I was looking out the sliders  I saw the beams of 2 flashlights shining along the edge of the water .. who in the world would be out there .. with flashlights .. this early in the morning???  And what in the world are they looking for????   I was hoping this picture would catch the moon AND the 2 flashlight beams on the beach .. but all you get is the moon .. but that's not bad .. LOL!!!

At 6:51 AM  .. The sun is finally coming up ....

7:15 Carolina time and the sun is UP ..

Ken is sad this morning .. we have tried to make Madonna's Cookies last but alack and alas .. we are down to the last two!!!! 

The last one .. they will now be only a wonderful memory .. LOL!!!

This is  the Caravelle February Activity calendar ..

Last night's Cocktail Party and Dinner are an every Tuesday night activity .. as you can see Wednesday is Bingo Night .. only 50 cents a card and they do have prizes!!  They will be doing Crafts from 2 - 3 this afternoon but we don't know yet what the crafts are .. have not decided if we will participate in that or not.   The Coffee Hour on Thursdays include Lunch!!  These activities are all at the Santa Maria Restaurant.   These activities are a great way to meet others who come here to stay for a long period of time.   Jerry & Edna and George & Vivian have several other friends here that they have known for years but see them only when they come here for their yearly stay!!!  The other people at our table last night were 2 of those couples.  The ones sitting at the end by Ken and I are Nancy and John .. I didn't get a chance to get acquainted with the ones at the other end of the table and at this moment don't remember what their names are .. Whoops!!! 

This is it for now ..  once again I'm not sure what the day holds .. but whatever it is I'm sure it will be fun!!!  Right now it is bright and sunny but according to the local weather report we will be getting rain later so Ken and I are planning to get down to the beach for a walk very shortly!!!!

11:39 AM .. we're baaaaccckkkkkk!!!  The walk on the beach was great!!!  It's pretty cloudy out there and a little bit chilly but a zip up sweatshirt was enough to be comfortable.  Lots of people out there walking .. some in shorts and short sleeves .. too early for that for me!!! 

We took a detour through the outdoor pool area to get to the beach ..

The back of our building .. remember we are on the 15th floor?  That's our room waaaayyyy at the top .. the second balcony from the right .. you can just barely see my sweatshirt hanging on the back of a chair .. LOL!!! 

Ken is looking for Shark's teeth .. there are so many broken shells and small white pieces I wouldn't know w Shark's tooth if I saw one!!! 

See what I mean???????  It's amazing to me that all these shells and pieces of shells are laying on the bottom of the ocean and the waves carry them in!!! 

It's a cloudy day today .. maybe that's why there are no boats to see out on the water ..

That's it for now .. we're having a Bologna Sandwich and Chips for lunch .. and resting up a bit .. and then we will be on the go again!!! 

The "maid" stepped in just a little bit ago and carried off our wet towels and wash cloths and gave us clean ones and emptied our trash .. asked if we needed anything else and wished a nice day .. is this the "Life of Riley" or what?????  LOL LOL LOL!!! 

That's it once again .. you probably won't hear from me again until after BINGO tonight .. or maybe not until tomorrow morning .. we will very likely end up playing cards somewhere after BINGO!!!! 

4:50 PM .. the sky is getting darker .. the rain must be close!!!!

Jerry was the first one at our table to win a prize .. a box Russell Stover Chocolates!!! 

And then Ken won a prize .. a box of Cheezits .. 14 small pakckages of Cheezits!!!

Ken, Vivian, George, Carol, Jerry and Edna .. the caller is Carol's husband Don ...(you can see his head above Ken's head)!!

George won a prize in an envelope .. it was a free Breakfast at one of the restaurants in town!

And then Ken won another prize .. a bottle of Wine and 2 Wine glasses in that big bag!!!

It was not a lucky night for the ladies at our table .. LOL!!  However, the last game of the night is a cover-all game for money1!  Before the game starts those who want to be in the game pay $1.00 for each card they want to play to form the winner's pot of money!!!  Guess who won????   Edna!!! 

I missed the pic where the lady handed Edna the money .. but I tried .. LOL!!!

After the BINGO was over we went to Jerry and Edna's place to play a couple of games of "Pay Me" .. here's what we found when we headed for our car .... YIKES!!!  Their hotel is within walking distance of ours but we drove just in case this might happen .. sure glad we did!!! 

You can't tell in this picture but it was POURING .. the water was running down this spot like a river!!!  And just wait until you see what it look like out there this morning .. that's on the next page .. LOL!!!
