GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!!

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9

Good Morning .. we were awake early enough to catch the sunrise this morning .. 6:49 AM

7:09  AM .. Here  it is!!! 

We're off bright and early this morning .. Breakfast at Cracker Barrel!!!   See ya' later ..

  I just had to get a picture of the checkerboard and the rocking chairs .. when we were in Port St. Lucie last year my granddaughters Sydni and Summer sat and played Checkers when we were at the Cracker Barrel .. I always think of them when  now was we're walking into a Cracker Barrel wherever it is and no Sydni and Summer sitting in those chairs!!! 

You think that's enough food to get us going for the day????

What a cold and shivery day this was!!  The sun was out .. the day looked beautiful .. but it was very windy and the wind was bitter cold!!   We went out for Breakfast because we had planned to spend our morning  "treasure hunting" at several resale stores  I had found on Google   and then go to Conway, SC  and sight see .. but it was just toooooo cold to be running in and out of stores and across parking lots!!!     So we had our delicious Breakfast at Cracker Barrel .. stopped at Wal Mart to pick  up a few things and came back to our rooms to "hibernate" for the day!!! 

Tuesday is the night we have "Cocktail Hour" so we headed down to the Santa Maria about 5:00 ..   Cocktail Hour also includes our evening meal and it was  a good one ..  Baked Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli, the fixings for a Salad and Mardi Gras King's Cake for dessert.  

 The bar at the Santa Maria  had celebrated Mardi Gras and Super Bowl Sunday night and I guess these lovely people were still celebrating .....

 Mardi Gras tradition has it that when you  bake a Kings Cake you put a tiny baby inside and the person who finds the baby in their piece of cake has to throw the next party ..  Don  and Carole ended up with the baby .. LOL!!! 

 The dinner was very good and the Karaoke afterwards was a lot of fun!!!    The card playing later at George and Vivian's place was even more fun !!!  And Ken  won the "pot" for Pay Me .. the whole  $1.50!!!  It's not the size of the pot that counts it's the fact that YOU won .. LOL LOL LOL!!!  Congratulations Ken!!!
