FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19
Good Morning .. Time for the morning temperature report .. LOL!! Myrtle Beach 43 .. Port Saint Lucie 70 .. Festus 61 .. Palestine 55 .. Casey 54!!! Funny .. we're the coolest place of the bunch .. 55 is going to be our high temp of the day and Palestine is already at 55 .. LOL!! Festus is already at 61 at 9:30 in the morning .. actually that would be 8:30 their time .. WOW!!!
We were lazy and slept in this morning .. by the time I opened my eyes the sun was already way up there and much too bright to get a pic!!!
But I did get a picture of this morning's Sea Gull Convention!!!
Again I'm not sure what today will hold but whatever it is I'm sure it will be FUN!!!
We headed for the Food Lion to pick up a few things but it was so beautiful out there we decided to make a run to Barfoot Landing and pick up a few more souvenirs .. I think we walked in on a little love affair on the Boardwalk ..
Hmmmmm .. maybe she told him to buzz off!!!
Ah Oh .. here he comes again ..
They were still looking lovingly into each others eyes when we walked away .. probably they needed a little privacy!!!
The bridge is full of Sea Gulls this morning ..
We've been to the Mole Hole and bought the souvenirs we came to buy .. on our way back to the car and who do we see .. our little love birds .. or perhaps I should say love ducks! Looks like he talked her into a little fun down by the water .. LOL!!
We also went back to Books A Million at the Myrtle Beach Mall .. and NO .. did not go to Yogurt Mountain while we were there!! Ken had something to return and I wanted to get a picture of something I should have gotten a picture of yesterday .. a Donald Trump coloring book .. LOL LOL LOL!!!
We eventually made it to the Food Lion to pick up what we needed then headed "home" for a bit of Lunch .. LUNCH ...
Yep .. stopped by the Krispy Kreme while we were out ...
YUUUUUMMMMMMMM!!!!
I know .. I know .. not the best lunch in the world for someone who is trying to lose weight .. but we're on vacation so it's okay, right???????
We're headed out to the beach shortly for a walk and then Ken thinks he's going to beat me at a couple of games of cards .. you know what .. he probably will!!!!

There is an over abundance of Sea Gulls on the beach this afternoon .. I'm wondering why!!!

Ken and I thought the tiny little bird in this video was a Tern .. Jerry says it is a Sandpiper!!! I'll have to check that out on Google .. LOL!!

When we were out shopping this morning we went into one of the many many shops that sell beach wear and souvenirs and finally found some Myrtle Beach post cards .. one of them has the beach at the back of our hotel on it!!!
Of course right now there aren't a bunch of beach umbrellas OR people in swimsuits on the beach .. LOL!!! The pic in the postcard doesn't come clear over to where we are though .. you will find us in the section on the left .. 3rd floor from the top 2nd window from the left or the right!! I just think it's really neat that the beach we are walking on is on a postcard!!! Doesn't take much to make me happy .. LOL!!!
From the beach we cut through the outdoor Swimming Pool / Hot Tub area to get back to "home" ..
We stopped by the Fitness Room on the ground floor to get some pics before going on upstairs but alack and alas .. it was locked and the number we were given to get in didn't work to open the door!!!
And then we made a stop on the 7th floor to get a couple of pics of the indoor Pool and Hot Tub ..
We'll be off someplace for Fish tonight with "the gang" .. See ya' later .. have a GREAT day!!!

Finally got a picture of Bimini's AND that beautiful full moon!!!
We all had the Fish Platter .. Bimini's Beer Battered Grouper / French Fries / Hush Puppies and Cole Slaw .. and then headed for George and Vivian's to play a couple of games of cards before ending the day!! Another great day at Myrtle Beach!!!!

ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed the new pics !! Thanks for the pics of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools and hot tubs, (in and out ) and exercise room inside. The swimming area outside with the hot tub is Awesome ! Yummy food ! Good pic of you ,Liz enjoying your Krispie Kreme's !!The Ocean pics and Beach and full moon pic ---Enjoyed the videos too ! You will never forget this Wonderful Vacation ! That was also Awesome that the Postcard had where you were staying and the Beach where you were walking.
ReplyDeleteOyster bar and seafood cafe looks like my kind of place !! ----I so enjoyed your new video's !! The Ocean and the Beach and the Seagulls were Awesome. Of course, I enjoyed hearing your voices too ! The kites were so cool ! Yes, You and Ken need to get 2 of the Beach chairs .(They are like lawn chairs,but with short legs for the Beach) --That was what I was telling you about in a previous comment ! Then, You could just sit, relax, and take in the Ocean and the Beach. There is nothing more relaxful than watching the Ocean -- Greg surprised Emma and told her that they were flying to Scott's in March for his kid's Spring Break ! She like playing with Lilly and she has never been on the Atlantic Ocean or Beach. I wish they could have seen Chip's,but he said he could not go both places since Chip is in Jacksonville and Scott is in Tampa . --They will be in Florida the month that you will be there. I am just thrilled Greg is taking her there !
